Earlier this month, I got to savour an absolutely amazing staycation at The Address Boulevard (courtesy of their wonderful PR). I was checked into the Downtown Suite, and one of the perks that comes with checking into a suite at The Address Boulevard, is that you get unlimited access to the Address Boulevard Club Lounge. Most Club Lounges don’t earn an exclusive blog post of their own, but this Club Lounge was truly in a league of it’s own!
When I approached the reception in the hotel lobby and shared my reservation details, I was informed by the friendly reception staff that since I was booked into the Downtown Suite, I have the option of a 24 hour check in at the Club Lounge. So, I was ushered to the 11th floor.
Much to my surprise, I wasn’t offered the standard “welcome drink” and cold towel, but the very welcoming Club Lounge manager on duty (Irti) did ask me several times if I’d like something to drink. In case you’re wondering why I keep saying “I” and not “we”, it’s because M was still in the lobby, on his phone, trying to solve one of the usual crises his work is synonymous with.
Anyway, back to the Address Boulevard Club Lounge. This Club Lounge was hands down the most breath-taking one I have ever seen. I mean, this is truly one you need to see to believe. For starters, it is huge. The decor is extremely classy yet homey, and I can truly imagine M, myself, or anyone else for that matter, to spend their entire day working here and not tire of it.
Think upscale furtniture but plenty of books in the shelves, McKenzie Child’s kettles in the kitchen cabinets, a marble-clad island showcasing fresh snacks to munch on, coffee and drinks at your disposal, and many a quite corners to tuck yourself away in and submerge yourself in whatever work you may have.
Of course the array of food in the open-kitchen style buffet area has a lot to do with making me want to live there forever, too. There is even a big meeting room that suite guests can book for up to 2 hours per week. The best part though: they had an “closet” that looked like a slim fridge and it’s used for sanitizing and drying clothes. Think suit jackets and coats after a long flight. This is a God send.
I absolutely loved the Address Boulevard Club Lounge. Can’t say it enough and can’t get over it. Most Club Lounges are quite mediocre, but this one is definitely worth spending the extra buck for and getting that room upgrade for.
