I’m always on a mission to try out all the Asian food and in that I recently discovered Mango Tree Thai Bistro at The Hilton JBR, which is not new to Dubai but has recently reopened at a new location.
Previously loved not just for the food but for the views of the views of Dubai’s fountains at Souk Al Bahar, Mango Tree Thai Bistro is now a welcome addition in JBR, serving up both authentic and creative twists on Thai food from the 4 different regions of Thailand.
I’ve had the pleasure of meeting their GM, Trevor MacKenzie, who clearly lives and breathes a passion are and possesses a high knowledge in Thai food and culture. The launch event at which I was invited amongst an exclusive and hand-picked group of industry experts was masterminded by himself, and all I’ll say is it was unlike any other Dubai restaurant launch I’ve been to, and that it involved a very large board game.
My mom was in town a couple of weeks ago, and she loves only Asian food, be it Thai, Chinese, Pakistani or Indian, so I lined up some options for her to try on her trip, of which Mango Tree Thai Bistro was the last but not the least. I’m glad I chose it for my final meal with my mom in 2019.
Here’s what we had and (mostly) loved:
We had a very pleasant meal, and if you’re looking for a super chilled-out, casual, Bangkok style meal, you should try our Mango Tree Thai Bistro.
